DIAGNOSIS OF VIRAL INFECTION : 2 METHODS
Identification of virus-infected patients as early as possible, with or without clinical signs.
The incubation period for the coronavirus can vary but is usually 3 to 5 days and can extend to 14 days. During that period, the subject should be considered infectious: Thus, they can be carriers and spread the virus even before the onset of the symptoms. The presence of the viral antigen can therefore be detected whether the patient is asymptomatic or has clinical signs.
