THE TEST DOESN'T START, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

After adding the blood and the drops of reagents the test should start almost instantly (the strip soaks up the liquid (blood + reagent) which will migrate upwards). The reagent drops should be added quickly after the blood has been applied (3-4 sec) and while keeping the bottle upright. If this is not the case, the amount of reagent may not be sufficient to start the test. Add a another drop.

CAN I CARRY OUT THE TEST WITH PLASMA OR SERUM?

NG TEST® lgG-lgM Covid 19 can be carried out with whole blood, plasma, or serum samples. For any type of sample, you need to collect 10 µL.

I HAVE DIFFICULTIES TO DRAW BLOOD WITH THE PIPETTE PROVIDED IN THE CASSETTE TEST. HOW SHOULD I USE IT?

Our pipettes allow a precise blood collection of 10 microliters. You do not need to press the bulb for collection, simply place the capillary (tip of the pipette) at the level of the blood drop and the blood rises by capillarity to the black line (marks the stop automatically). Then press the bulb to deposit the blood at the level of the well dedicated on the test.

HOW TO USE THE CASSETTE FORMAT LANCET CORRECTLY?

Our lancets are for single use, secure and specially designed to provide a convenient and more comfortable way to prick your finger.
The lancet is opened by completely unscrewing the gray cap (do not pull on it).
It is then activated by simply pressing the side button. The needle is self-retracting, once the puncture is done, there is no risk of pricking yourself with the needle. The needle retracts immediately after use, no risk of injury or contamination.

DOES THE TEST MEASURE THE QUANTITY OF IgG OR IgM ANTIBODIES AND THE RATE OF INCREASE IN THE LEVEL OF IgG OR IgM ANTIBODIES?

No. Neither the quantitative value nor the rate of increase in the level of IgG or IgM antibodies to SARS-Cov-2 can be determined with that qualitative test.

The test indicates the absence or the presence of lgG and lgM antibodies to SARS-Cov-2 in the sample, and should not be used as the only diagnostic criterion for SARS-Cov-2 infection.

As for any diagnostic test, the doctor should interpret the results taking into account other clinical data.

THE TEST RESULT IS NEGATIVE BUT I AM NOT CONVINCED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If the test result is negative and the clinical symptoms persist, we suggest to carry out additional follow-up tests using other methods. A negative result at any time does not rule out the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The test gives negative results in the following conditions: the coronavirus antibodies were not present at the time of sample collection (asymptomatic stage, window period).

CAN I INTERPRET THE TEST RESULTS BEYOND 20 MINUTES?

No, the results should be read and interpreted after 15 minutes, but not after 20 minutes. After this period, the results must not be taken into account in order not to declare false positives.

WHERE TO DISCARD THE TEST ITEMS AFTER USE?

The test and its possible elements (lancet, wipe, pipette, bottle of empty buffer solution, etc.) are considered to be activities presenting a risk of infection (DASRI).
They are to be disposed of in the specific yellow bins. Prefer plastic containers for lancets and devices in “all-in-one” format.

ONCE OPENED, HOW LONG CAN I STORE THE BUFFER SOLUTION?

Once opened, the buffer solution can be reused until the date indicated on the small label on it.
Store in a clean, dry place between 4 and 30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
Do not shake the bottle before use.

WHERE CAN I BUY THE TEST?

The test is for professional use only. Following the French government decree of July 10th, 2020 concerning TROD SARS-CoV-2, health professionals who are not biologists (liberal doctors and pharmacists) can now also perform the rapid diagnostic orientation test. Patients can go to a pharmacy or medical office to determine if they have produced antibodies in response to Covid-19 virus infection.
